Srinagar: Police on Thursday swung into action and foiled a protest march of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers demanding implementation of 7th pay commission, in Srinagar. SSA begun their march from Sher-e-Kashmir Park towards city center Lal Chowk, police thwarted them near Partap-park. Police had to use water cannons to disperse the rallying teachers.
