Srinagar: One of the two youths, who were abducted and later released after torture, by unidentified gunmen in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, died in a Srinagar hospital late Wednesday night, official sources said.
They said unidentified gunmen kidnapped Arif Sofi, a resident of Khudweani and Mehraj Ahmad Dar, resident of Hawoora in Kulgam from their houses on Tuesday.
Arif was found in an unconscious condition at village moman while Mehraj at another place last night, the sources added.
Arif was rushed to Qoimoh hospital from where he was referred to SMHS hospital, Srinagar. However, he succumbed to his injuries and the condition of Mehraj was stable, they said.
