JK Bank Unit Sogam Closed After Staffer Tests COVID Positive

Kupwara, May 4: A Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch in Sogam was on Tuesday closed after samples’ of a staffer returned positive for COVID-19 infection.

An official said that a 35-year-old staffer who was tested earlier after developing symptoms returned positive for the virus forcing the bank authorities to close the unit till further orders.

Asking the local account holders to cooperate for the time being, a bank official in the meantime maintained that they are mulling over as what possible assistance and arrangements can be made to facilitate the esteemed customers. “We however expect that something will be done sooner than later”, the official added. gns
