August 5 decision irrevocable: PM Modi

JAMMU, Aug 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the decision of August 5, 2019 is irrevocable and the Government’s resolve to take Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on a new path is also unwavering, Jammu based daily excelsior reported. 

Modi said this in quote to Samachar fortnightly magazine published by the Press Information Bureau in an exclusive article dedicated to completion of four years of abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution of India, according to the report

Describing Jammu and Kashmir as the pride of every Indian, he declared that the Government will take Jammu and Kashmir to new heights.

“For us, the decision of August 5 is irrevocable. The resolve to take Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on a new path is also unwavering. On August 5, the entire Constitution of India and the law came into force in J&K. We removed biggest obstacle to the development of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh,” the Prime Minister said.

“Together, we have to take Jammu and Kashmir to new heights. We also have a huge goal of developed India by 2047 before us, to fulfil, which we have to engage in nation building with strong resolutions,” Modi said.
