Srinagar: Eight civilians were injured after an explosive device went off in Ahgam village in North Kashmir’s Handwara district on Sunday.

Reports said that the shell was lying on road when it went off accidentally today afternoon.

Earlier a Colonel, a major, a police officer, two soldiers and two militants were killed in a fierce encounter in Ahgam some five kilometers away from the spot.
