IGP Kashmir visits police constable injured in Chanapora militant attack at SKIMS Soura

Srinagar: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir Range, SP Pani on Saturday visited SKIMS Soura to inquire into the condition of policeman injured in last evening Srinagar militant attack.

Constable Feroz Ahmad who was badly injured in the attack at Chanapora police station is being treated at SKIMS Soura.

“IGP Kashmir along with DIG CKR & SSP Srinagar met him and his family at SKIMS Soura,” said the police on Twitter.

The attack in Chanapora is second strike by militants in Srinagar this year. On 19 January militants had tossed a grenade at Zero Bridge leaving three cops, including an Assistant Sub Inspector of traffic police injured.
