Four militants killed, two others injured in bomb blast in northern Afghanistan

Faizabad: Four Taliban militants were killed and two others injured as their explosive device exploded prematurely in Wardoj district of Afghanistan’s northern Badakhshan province on Saturday, local police official Abdul Haq said.

A group of armed insurgents, according to the official, were planting a mine on a road in Tirgaran area of Wardoj district when the device went off accidentally, killing four on the spot and injuring two others.

Taliban militants who are heavily reliant on suicide and roadside bombings have yet to comment on the report.
