Srinagar: A lady has been injured after clashes broke out between government forces and protesters in Palhallan area of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday. 

According to reports protesters took to streets and pelted stones on the polling booth set up in the area. “In the ensuing clashes one lady has been injured,” they said.

The injured lady has been shifted to Srinagar’s SMHS hospital for treatment, they said.

Protesters resorted to stone pelting on forces deployed in the area and clashes were going on when last reports came in.

Polling for the Baramulla parliamentary seat is underway in Valley.
