Pulwama attack: PM Modi to chair CCS meeting on Friday

New Delhi,: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security on Friday morning at 0900 hrs in wake of the massive attack on CRPF Convoy in Pulwama on Thursday, a top government functionary confirmed here.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affaires Minister Sushma Swaraj and Finance Minister Piyush Goel to attend the Meeting.

The National Security Advisor Ajit Doval may be also joining the CCS meeting.

PM Modi may be meeting separately with NSA, Union Home Secretary and intelligence agencies Chiefs, a top government official said on condition of anonymity.

The CCS likely to review the security situation after the worst ever attack on the forces in Jammu Kashmir.

The CCS is highest decision making body in the Country for security related issues.

Apart from PM, Minister for Home Affairs, Defence, External Affairs and Finance Minister are members of CCS.
