Srinagar: A known top militant commander is believed to be trapped in north Kashmir’s Handwara area following which the authorties have asked Islamic university to shut the educational establishment.

According to the Islamic university sources, after the the known militant commander was believed to be trapped with government forces, the varsity was told not to send buses to fetch the students.

The sources said the authorties were keeping the killing of militant commander secret so that there is no immediate impact on the law and order situation in Kashmir.
