Two Hybrid militant arrested in Bandipora, Arms recovered: Police

Bandipora May 07: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two hybrid militants of Hizbul Mujahideen in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

In a statement, the police said that Based on a specific input regarding movement of Hybrid militants from Bandipora to Srinagar, a joint naka was established near Wullar Vantage Aragam by Bandipora police,13RR Army & 3rd BN CRPF. While conducting search of pedestrians & vehicles two individuals were observed moving suspiciously in an Alto Car bearing Reg. No. JK13-G 6139,who tried to conceal their identity on seeing the Naka party. On being challenged, the suspicious persons tried to break the checkpoint and were tactfully apprehended.

The police spokesman identified them as Abid Ali son of Ali Mohd Parray, age 27 resident of Herpora Achan Pulwama and Faisal Hassan Parray , age 21 years son of Gh Hassan Parray resident of Herpora Achan Pulwama.

During search of the said individuals and vehicle, 01 AK-47 rifle,02 Magazines with 30 live Rounds,01 Pistol, 01 Magzine with 04 live Rounds and 04 Pistol fired cases were recovered, he said.

Case FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered & further Investigation taken up. Further arrests are expected, reads the statement.
