J&K govt announces cancellation of all pending 11th, 12th class exams

Srinagar, Jun 09: All pending examinations in J&K to be conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) for the session 2020-21 have been cancelled by the Lieutenant Governor-led administration.

The Regular/Private final examinations of Class 11th and 12th across the UT, for which examination/results are anticipated, have been cancelled owing to the “safety and well-being” of students due to pandemic of COVID-19.

The announcement in this connection was made by the LG’s Office through a tweet, which read, “In view of safety and well-being of students due to Covid pandemic, all pending JKBOSE Examinations session 2020-21 (Regular/Private) for final exams of class XI and XII across JKUT for which examination/results are awaited, are cancelled.”

As per the LG Manoj Sinha, the detailed procedure for publishing results along with a scheme of marking will be completed by the examination Board JKBOSE shortly. knt
