Unknown persons chop down apple saplings in Khag Budgam

Budgam, May 22: Unidentified persons chopped down high-density apple saplings in an orchard in Khag area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

The orchard belongs to one Muhammad Amin Najar which is located in Nusoo Kalipora village of Khag.

The owner of the orchard said that he was shocked to see the apple saplings lying on the ground. Some have been axed while other saplings have been uprooted.

He said the incident has occurred during the intervening night of May 21 and 22

“I have lodged a complaint at police station Khag and hope culprits will be identified and brought to book,” he said.

Station House Officer, Police Station Khag Tauqeer Ahmed said that they are ascertaining the facts. “A case has been registered and investigation set into motion,” he said. knt
