Four arrested in Chadoora with arms: Police

Srinagar, Oct 13: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four person in central Kashmir’s Budgam district whose possession cache of arms and ammunition have been recovered.

Police officer told news agency KNS that four youth from Chadoora area of the district were arrested after specific inputs about their involvement in unlawful activities were reported. He said during searches to the concerned location, they recovered cache of arms and ammunition, besides incriminating material from the possession of arrested youth.

“The recoveries include 2 Chinese grenades, a pistol magazine, 8 pistol rounds, 30 AK-47 rounds and a flag of militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba”, police officer said.

The officer identified the arrested persons as Arshid Mushtaq and Nisar Bashir both residents of Balpora Wathora,

Tahir Jehangir Dar of Sheikhpora Wathora and Adil Bashir Wani, a resident of Kralpora.

He said a case under FIR No. 180/2020 u/s 18, 19, 20 & 23 of Unlawful Activities stands registered while further investigations taken up.
