Srinagar: Gunshots were heard during a Cordon and Search Operation in Aripal area of south Kashmir’s Tral on Tuesday morning.

Sources said that a joint team of army’s 42 RR and Jammu and Kashmir Police’s SOG cordoned off the forest area in Aripal after credible inputs about presence of militants.

They said that as the forces laid the siege, gunshots were heard from the cordoned area. More to follow.
