Before making demands, international community should focus on Kashmir dispute: China

Srinagar: After putting a technical halt to the request listing Masood Azhar in UN terror black list, China has urged international community to focus on Kashmir dispute.

In a note sent to the council, China said it needed more time to examine the sanctions request targeting Azhar, diplomats said.

Beijing had reminded the UNSC on Monday that “a responsible solution” to the listing issue could come only through discussions.

China put a hold on a request by Britain, France and the United States to add Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) leader Masood Azhar to the UN terror blacklist
