Srinagar: Muttahid-e-Masjlis Ulema on Tuesday appealed people to observe complete shutdown on Saturday to protest the summoning of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq by National Investigation Agency (NIA) and ban on Jamaat-e-Islami.

Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam appealed people to observe complete shutdown on Saturday to protest against Mirwaiz’s summoning by NIA and ban on Jama’at.

He also appealed people to stage protest against the moves after Friday congregational prayers.
