Abuja: A new attack by the armed men killed 16 people in a village in Nigeria’s northern state of Kaduna, local police said on Monday.

The armed men entered Barde village under Maro town in Kajuru area and started shooting sporadically which led to the death of 16 people.

Upon receiving information, the police mobilised teams of operatives alongside military personnel with a view to apprehending the perpetrators and restoring normalcy to the area.

The spokesperson added that operation was ongoing and the situation has been brought under control. (UNI)
