Srinagar: A ten year old south Kashmiri kid’s cover drive has stunned the Sri Lankan legendary cricketer and former skipper Kumara Sangakkara.

On Friday, a Twitter user tweeted a video in which a small kid was stroking the ball. He tagged the former Lankan captain in the tweet and asked him the opinion regarding the kid’s batting.

His position looks excellent. Lovely to see him cover drive so elegantly. Wish him luck and I hope he has a fantastic time playing this game we love.

Meer Murtaza, a Twitter user referred the video to Sangakkara, pointing out how his cover drives resembled the ones the modern batting legend was known for.

“His position looks excellent. Lovely to see him cover drive so elegantly. Wish him luck and I hope he has a fantastic time playing this game we love.” Sangakkara replied.
