Srinagar: The Srinagar-Jammu highway was on Saturday closed for vehicular traffic due to snowfall and incessant rains at many places along the highway.
Reports said that incessant rains and snowfall triggered landslides along the highway in the mountainous Ramban district.
Beacon, the agency responsible for the maintenance of the highway, they said was making efforts to clear the highway from the landslide and to make it motor-able.
Meanwhile, reports said that the Mughal road in southern Kashmir has also been closed for vehicular traffic due to heavy overnight snow.
The snowfall has also forced the closure of Srinagar-Leh road in central Kashmir.
