Srinagar: A Bharatiya Janata Party candidate was injured in a stone pelting incident in Bandipora on Monday.

Sources said that the candidate identified as Adil Ali Buhru son of Ali Mohd, a resident of Plan Bandipora is contesting from ward 15.

They said that the candidate was on way to cast his vote when some youths hurled stones on him at Dachigam booth.

“A stone hit him in the head. He has received minor injuries and is stable,” sources said.
