Srinagar: Government forces have arrested two persons in nocturnal raids during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday at Saidpora-Bala village of Shopian in Southern Kashmir. 

Reports said that the duo has been identified as Muhammad Irfan Naikoo son of Farooq Ahmad Naikoo and Muhammed Shafi Naikoo son Muhammed Mansoor Naikoo.

Local sources said that the forces in the dead of the night barged into the residential houses of the two and arrested them.

Meanwhile, the villagers have alleged that the forces also beat up other civilians during the raids.
