Srinagar:  One person was killed and seven others were injured in a road accident in south Kashmir district of Anantnag on Monday.

Official sources said that a passenger vehicle skidded off the road and fell into Dadi canal in village Khiram, Bijbehara in Anantnag, resulting in injuries to eight people.

“The injured were immediately taken to a local hospital from where they were referred to District Hospital Anantnag,” they said.

However, one of the injured succumbed at the hospital. (UNI)
