Ten killed, 3 injured after fire breaks out in  crackers making workshop in Telanagana

Hyderabad:Ten workers were burnt alive and three others injured when a massive fire broke out in a fire crackers manufacturing workshop near Kotilingala in Warangal district of Telangana on Wednesday.

The condition of the injured workers was stated to be serious.

More workers were trapped in the godown of “Bhadrakali Fire works”.

According to police sources, 25 workers had reported for work to perform duties in the godown earlier in the day.

Sources feared that the toll may go up.People in the vicinity of the factory were panic-stricken as deafening sound emanated during the massive fire.

Some nearby houses were also damaged.

Four fire tenders rushed to the site to control the blaze.

Warangal (Rural) District Collector Haritha was also present at the site to supervise relief and rescue operations.

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari expressed his sorrow over loss of life in the fire crackers making unit.
