Government forces vandalise property, thrash residents in Pulwama villages, allege locals

Srinagar: Army on Tuesday went on rampage in Malikpora and Rahmoo villages of Pulwama in south Sashmir during night and detained various youths, locals alleged.

Local sources said that in Malikpora Pulwama forces ransacked public property.

They said army resorted to beating people and breaking   windows and detained four youth.

In another incident locals alleged that government forces entered in Rahmoo village of Pulwama and detained 5 youths while ransacking property.

Locals said that vehicles and windowpanes were damaged in the area.

Sources said people of the Rahmoo village today  protested against forces move by observing a shutdown in the area and demanded action.

PRO Defence Colonel Rajesh Kalia while speaking to the Kashmir press denied the allegations , “Our people did not damage any property, nor did they enter any houses, all the allegations are baseless,” He told The Kashmir Press.
