Srinagar: Train service resumed in Kashmir on Tuesday after remaining suspended for a day following a shutdown called by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) against continuing civilian killings in the Valley.
“We have resumed all train runs today in the Kashmir valley,” a senior railway official said.
He said a fresh advisory was received from police last night to resume train service on all routes.
Therefore, he said, trains will run on Srinagar-Budgam and Baramulla in north Kashmir track as per schedule. Similarly, trains will also chug on Budgam-Srinagar, Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region, he said. (UNI)
