Delhi: At least five people, including four family members, were killed today when their car was hit by a dumper at 16th Mile under Baisnabnagar in West Bengal’s Malda district today, police said.
Murli Prasad was travelling back home at Bibigram in the rented car along with his wife Kaushalya, and sons Rakesh and Amit.
All four and the driver died on the spot on NH 34 around 0500 hours when a dumper from opposite direction hit the car.
While Rakesh was in his late 20s, Amit was a teenager. The identity of the driver was yet to be confirmed.
The victims were returning home after attending a wedding party at Rampurhat in Birbhum.
All the bodies have been sent for post mortem . (UNI)
