‘Military might can’t muzzle the aspirations of Kashmiri people’-Waza

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir People’s League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad waza on Monday said that the “military might” can’t muzzle the genuine “aspirations” of people of Kashmir.

He said while addressing a gathering at Aishmuqam area of Anantnag.

He said that Kashmir is not an issue of “economic doles” or “privileges” but a “political and humanitarian” issue and it should be resolved through dialogues.

“The issue needs an end by implementing the UN resolutions on Kashmir or through a sustained result oriented meaningful dialogue among India, Pakistan and the people of Kashmir,” he said.

While expressing serious concern over the plight of detainees lodged in and outside the different jails of the valley, he urged the amnesty International and other international bodies to come forward.

Meanwhile waza also visited the house of Youths who got killed yesterday in a tragic road accident at Zojila and prayed for the departed souls and expressed deep sympathy with the bereaved families.
