A rifle-snatching bid by the militants at Hawal, Srinagar was foiled by police, reports said

Reports said that militants had approached policeguard at Hawal guarding the Mirza Kamil Shrine with an intention to loot weapons.

However, the alert sentry fired some shots forcing the militants to flee.

Reports said that the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
