Youth Arrested In Srinagar For Promoting Enmity And Insulting Religion

SRINAGAR: A youth from Banihal has been booked for promoting enmity and insulting religion in the summer capital, Srinagar.

Reports stated that the youth, identified as Muthair Dar, son of Abdul Rashid Dar and a resident of Mahoo Banihal, was arrested by Srinagar police after his video criticising some spiritual places in Kashmir went viral on social media.

A complaint was lodged at the Shergari police station, and subsequently, Srinagar police took prompt action, arresting the individual from Banihal.



A police officer confirmed the arrest, stating that Muthair Dar has been booked under FIR no 45 under sections 153-A and 295 of the Indian Penal Code at PS Shergari, and further investigation is underway.
