Kulgam Encounter: Militant killed, soldier, 2 civilians injured

 

Kulgam, Sep 26: A Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militant has been killed while an army soldier and two civilians were injured in the ongoing encounter in Batapora village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, police said on Monday, adding that the operation was underway.

An official said  that the encounter broke out in Batapora village this evening.

He said that in the ensuing encounter an army soldier and two civilians were injured and they have been shifted to a hospital for treatment.

Police in a tweet informed that one JeM militant has been killed and his identification is being ascertained.

Later officials identified the killed militant as as Abu Hurarah.

Earlier, police said that an Army soldier and two civilians were injured in the ongoing encounter, who have been injured and shifted to hospital for treatment.
