Srinagar, Aug 16: All india Congress committee on Tuesday appointed Vakar Rasool Wani as new President of J&K Congress in place of Gulam Ahmad Mir.

Ghulam Nabi Azad to head campaign committee while as Tariq Ahmed Karra to head political committee of J&K Congress and Raman Bhalla has been appointed as working president.

The development comes after the Congress President has accepted the resignation of Ghulam Ahmed Mir from the post of President, Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee. “The party appreciates his service,” the party spokesman said.
