Jammu-Srinagar highway closed due to shooting stones in Ramban

Srinagar July 21: The Jammu-Srinagar national highway was closed for vehicular traffic due to shooting of stones in Ramban district on Thursday, officials said here.

An official said that the highway was blocked due to continuous shooting stones at Mehar area of Ramban.

“NH-44 blocked at Mehar, Ramban due to continuous shooting stones. Raining heavily in Ramban,” Ramban Deputy Commissioner informed in a tweet.

In an another tweet, he said: “Heavy shooting stone activity near Panthyal on NH-44. People are advised to avoid travel on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway as rains continue.” kns
