Srinagar, Jul 06: Jammu and Kashmir College Contractual Lecturers Association (JKCCLA) on Thursday staged a protest in Srinagar against what they termed as the violation of court orders regarding the release of their salaries.

Dr Mohammad Iqbal, Chief Spokesperson of JKCCLA, said “The department has not been following the court orders issued on May 02, 2022. The department had decided to throw out the CAD employees. But the court has clearly asked the department that the employees should be allowed to continue and their salaries should be released.”

However, he said that “we want the court orders with regard to the release of salary to be implemented.”

“Even after the order issued by the Supreme Court, the department is showing a biased approach and is not implementing the order in Kashmir. However, the order has been implemented in Jammu province only,” he said.

“We appeal to the Lieutenant Governor led administration, Advisor and Principal Secretary Higher Education department to intervene into the matter at personal level so that the department would implement the court directions. We also appeal the government not to force us to hit the streets,” he said.kno
