Pulwama, Apr 18: Militants fired upon two personnel reportedly affiliated with railway protection force in Kakapora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Police sources said that militants fired at point-blank on two personnel identified as Sub-Inspector Dev Raj and Head Constable Surinder Singh.

Both were in civvies at the time of attack. One of them died on the spot while another has been shifted to hospital whose condition is stated to be critical.

Police and army have cordoned off the area. knt
