Srinagar, Sep 20: A 25-year-old man was killed and a woman was injured on Monday when they were struck by lightning in a remote village in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Official sources said that lightning hit Panches village in Beerwah village in Budgam, resulting in the injuries of two persons identified as Gulzar Ahmad (25) son of Ghulam Rasool and Shakeela wife of Ghulam Mohammad Khan.

They said both the injured persons were immediately shifted to SDH Magam, where Gulzar was declared dead by the doctors and the woman is said to be stable. kd
