J&K reports 152 new Covid cases, no death

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 152 new covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.

They said 15 of the cases were reported from Jammu Division and 137 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 327773.

There was no death due to the virus during the time. So far 4416 people have died— 2169 in Jammu division and 2247 in Kashmir.

Giving district wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 67 cases, Baramulla 23, Budgam 10, Pulwama 6, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 3, Bandipora 3, Ganderbal 7, Kulgam 15, Shopian 0, Jammu 3, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 1, Doda 8, Kathua 0, Samba 1, Kishtwar 2, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital’s diagnostic labouratory and include male (51) from Saderbal, male (29) from Nowpora, male (50) from Khanyar, male (52) from Alamgiri Bazar, male (30) from Nowshera, male (30) from Ahmadnagar, female (41) from Nowpora, female (16) from Rajouri Kadal, female (29) from Amdakadal, female (13) from Buchpora, female (29) from Goripora Pul, female (68) from Balhama, female (30) from Hassanwani Pul, two females (11, 16) from Sail, female (35) from Zainakadal, female (41) from Saderbal, female (39) from Zainakadal, two males (64, 75) from Soura Srg, male (32) from Ropora Budgam, female (41) from Srinagar, female (30) from Nowgam, male (49) from Batmaloo, female (40) from Zainakadal, male (45) from Budgam, two males (17, 15) and two females (23, 54) from Qamarwari, two males (60, 54) from NA, female (35) from HMT, male (28) from Eidgah, male (90) from Hazratbal, male (50) from Chattabal, two females (12, 42) from Baghi Mehtab, female (25) and male (26) from Tailbal, female (33) from Buchpora, female (39) from Lalbazar.

Moreover, they said, 113 more COVID-19 patients have recovered—18 from Jammu and 95 from Kashmir. With them, 321878 people have recovered. There are 1479 active cases in J&K—238 in Jammu and 1241 in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, there was one fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today, they said. So far 46 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added. gns
