CBK raids residences, offices of members of ‘self-styled’ AYUSH Doctors association in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 03: The sleuths of Crime Branch Kashmir carried out raids at twelve places across the Kashmir valley including the residences and offices of the office bearers of a self-styled AYUSH Doctors association Kashmir (ADAK), sources said here. 

Spokesperson said that the residences of Dr Zahoor Ahmad Tantry, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Paray, Dr Shabir Ahmad Parray, Dr Farooq Naqshbandi, Dr Shiraz Ahmad Lone, Dr Mohammad Amin Kawa, Dr Javaid Hussian Mugloo and Dr Riyaz Ahmad Taili in connection with a case related to alleged running of fake associations, blackmailing, extortion, harassment to Indian System of Medicines (ISM) employees.

They said that the raids were carried out in relation to the FIR 34/2021 US IPC sections of 420 (cheating), 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 506 (criminal intimidation) besides 5(2) Prevention of Corruption Act 420, 120-B and 506 of IPC besides 5(2) Prevention of Corruption Act, against all self-styled office bearers for running a fake association across the UT since 2010 and carrying illegal activities besides running unauthorized account in J&K bank.

Sources said that raids were conducted at twelve locations in Unani Hosiptal Shalteng, ISM Department offices at Srinagar, Shalteng, Lawaypora, Zainakote, Rainawari, Kupwara ,Botingo Bandipora and Sopore.

Meanwhile, SSP Crime branch Imtiyaz Ismail Parray confirmed that crime branch carried out raids at different locations in connection with the case. kns
