Srinagar, July 27: Government forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Nadirgund Peerbagh area of Srinagar outskirts.

Reports said a joint team of the army’s 53RR and Jammu and Kashmir Police cordoned off Nadirgund Peerbagh area and conducted searches there.

Reliable sources said that a search operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Searches were going on in the area when reports last came in. kdc
