Shopian June 17: A teacher has been suspended after police booked him for his involvement in a clash that had broken out over a land dispute in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Pertinently, 8 persons were injured some of them seriously after a clash erupted over a land dispute in DK Pora area of Shopian.

The video of this clash had gone viral. In the purported video a government teacher who was later identified as Javaid Ahmed can be seen resorting to blows and abuses.

Police had registered a formal case in this regard. Taking cognizance of the police case against the teacher who is posted at Higher Secondary School DK Pora, Chief Education Officer placed him under suspension till pending inquiry.  knt
