Budgam, May 20: Government forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Rather Pora Dalwan area in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday.

Reports said a joint team of the army’s 53RR, SOG PakherPora cordoned off the Ratherpora Dalwan area of Budgam village and conducted house to house searches there.

Reports said that all entry and exit points towards the area were sealed off by the security forces.

A police officer said that a search operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Searches were going on in the area when reports last came in. kdc
