Srinagar, March 13:District commander for Shopian Wilayat Lone Alias Sajad Afghani of Lashkar-e-Toiba is believed to trapped in an ongoing gunfight in Shopian.

Official sources said militant Commander Sajad Afghani is believed to be among trapped one.

Afghani, resident of Rawalpora was initially associated with Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit and few months before he had switched to LeT. He has been active since 2018.

However official confirmation about his presence is yet come.

Earlier, Reports said that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Rawalpora.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight. gns
