Ganderbal, 10 Feb:  The People’d Alliance for Gupkar Declaration on Wednesday won the chairperson and vice-chairperson posts of district development council in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

Sources said  that Nuzhat Ishfaq of the National Conference was elected as chairperson of DDC Ganderbal after she got 9 votes during the election meeting.

They said that the vice-chairperson post was bagged by the PDP after its candidate Bilal Ahmad secured 8 votes.

Earlier, an election meeting of the elected DDC members was called today to elect the chairperson and vice-chairperson for DDC Ganderbal. kns
