Srinagar: Two persons were killed after their car crashed into a gate of Nashri tunnel on Kashmir highway late Tuesday evening.

A car bearing registration number JK14A/ 9978 on way to Ramban from Udhampur crashed into the gate no 16 inside the Chenani – Nashri Tunnel, reports said.

They said that two persons died on the spot and one got serious injures, said an official, adding that the injured was shifted to SDH Chenani.

The deceased have been identified Bittu Sharma (40) son of Hens Raj, a resident of Kriya Maitra Ramban Age and Sudesh Pandit (28) son of Kaka Ram, a resident of Sana Batote.

The injured was identified as Ganesh Gotam (20) son of Suram Chand, a resident of Kriya Maitra Ramban.
