Srinagar, October 27:Encounter rages between militants and government forces in Srinagar outskirts located in Mouchwa area on Tuesday evening.

Reports said that a joint team of Srinagar Police, Budgam Police and army’s 50RR launched a cordon and search operation in Mouchwa.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.

A senior police officer also confirmed  about exchange of firing between militants and security forces.

As per the sources twomilitants believed to be trapped.

Pertinently, this is second encounter of this week, yesterday one militant was killed, while another surrendered in South Kashmir’s Tral.(GNS)
