Soldier injured as India, Pak exchange fire on LoC in two sectors of Poonch area

Poonch, Sept 17: A soldier was injured as India and Pakistani army exchanged fire in two sectors along Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu on Thursday.

Official sources said that there was firing and mortar shelling from Pakistan in Mendhar and Balakote sectors. One soldier Naik C B Pawar of 101 artillery regiment suffered splinter injuries and was shifted to 150 Government Hospital Rajouri. “Indian Army gave befitting reply to the ceasefire violation,” they added.
