Srinagar, September 14: At least 17 parliament members (MP’s) have been tested positive for the corona virus on the first day of the monsoon session which began on Monday.  

According to the media reports, among the 17 members, BJP leaders Meenakshi Lekhi, Anant Kumar Hegde and Parvesh Sahib Singh have also tested positive for the deadly virus.

The reports said that govt. has taken all steps to ensure health safety throughout the session, adding, it was also the first time that MP’s marked their attendance through a special app called ‘Attendance Register’ App.

The app is designed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) to restrict the risks of spreading corona virus as the MP’s will not have to use the attendance register.
