Ten more die of COVID-19 in J&K, toll 712

Srinagar, Aug 31: Ten more patients who were tested positive for COVID-19 have died in Jammu and Kashmir, thus taking the toll of deaths due to Novel Coronavirus to 712 in the Union Territory.

An official said that ten patients who died today include a 54-year-old man from Dardharal Kupwara, a 70-year-old man from Sunder Bala Chattabal, a 65-year-old woman from Batpora Budgam, a 60-year-old man from Bemina, a 70-year-old man from Mughal pora Kupwara, a 45-year-old woman from Bakhshi Nagar Jammu, a 45-year-old woman from Janipur Jammu, a 65-year-old woman from Gangyal Jammu, a 35-year-old man from Mirpur Khour Jammu and an 87-year-old patient from Bhaderwah Doda.

An official from SMHS said that a patient from Bemina who was admitted on 22 August, a patient from Chattabal who was admitted with hypertension, COPD, bilateral Pneumonia on 27 August, a patient from Dardharal Kupwara who was admitted on 30 August, a patient from Batpora Budgam who was admitted on 29 August and a patient from Mughal pora Kupwara who was admitted on 27 August with Pneumonia died at SMHS on Monday.

An official from GMC Jammu said that a patient from Bakhshi Nagar who are presently living at Rajpura Magotrain Jammu who was admitted with hypertension, diabetes, respiratory distress and Pneumonia on 30 August, a patient from Janipur Jammu, a patient from Gangyal Jammu who was admitted with diabetes, hypothyroid, respiratory distress and Pneumonia on 28 August and a patient from Mirpur Khour Jammu who was admitted with diabetes, chronic kidney disease, pyrexia and other ailments died at GMC Jammu on Monday.

An official from GMC Doda said that a patient from Chinta Baderwah who was admitted on 28 August with multiple ailments died on Monday.

With ten more deaths, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 712 including 644 from Kashmir division and 68 from Jammu division—(KNO)
