District Police Chief killed in a bomb attack in Afghanistan

Srinagar, July 19: Darya Khan Talash, district police chief for Surobi district in Paktika province, was killed in a roadside mine blast Sunday morning, Tolo news reported.

Three of his guards were also killed in the blast, officials said according to the Tolo news repport.

According to the officials, the incident happened in early morning when his vehicle hit a roadside mine.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident, the report said.

In Zabul, Sahib Jan, district police chief in the Nawbahar district, was also killed in a roadside mine blast on Saturday, local officials said, Tolo news report added.
