An official told a local news agency that on specific inputs about the presence of militants Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched in the area by government forces.

“As forces zeroed towards suspected spot, hiding militants fired upon forces which was retiliated triggering an encounter,” he said.

Two to three militants are believed to be trapped and operation was under way till last reports. (KNO)
